WSOP Europe 2017 is here!
Almost a year ago World Series of Poker (WSOP) announced that the WSOP Europe has found a new home at King’s Rozvadov. Now the prestigious festival has arrived and eleven bracelets are waiting to be won. More than € 18,000,000 prizemoney is guaranteed and with the € 111,111 One Drop High Roller and the € 10,350 Main Event two highlights are scheduled.
The 23 days festival packed with bracelet events, side events and satellites offers tournaments for every player and bankroll. Of course, the bracelet events count towards the Player of the Year ranking, which is currently lead by Chris Ferguson. Record bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth will be at King’s to add No 15 to his collection, but also to promote his autobiography “Poker Brat”.
More than 100 players confirmed their participation in the € 111,111 One Drop High Roller, which will be the biggest event of the series with a € 10,000,000 prizepool guarantee. The € 2,000,000 GTD WSOP Europe Colossus will chase the “Biggest tournament in Europe” record, which is held at the moment by the Goliath with 6.385 entries. But also setting a new record in the € 10,350 Main Event is a target of Leon Tsoukernik. The King's boss made clear, that he wants to have the biggest WSOP Europe Main Event and that means to attract more than 593 entries. The current record was set in Cannes in 2011.
